Well I've been rather busy lately so I haven't had a chance to update. Plus a lot of the things I've been working on are a secret so I can't post them, but rest assured, new stuff is coming! I just completed an internship at Nickelodeon and working on some new ideas so stay tuned.

Fish Story updates yay!

Sorry been MIA for a bit, working on a project for a big client and this project for my portfolio work. Anyways, here are a few updates, still work-progress-stuff (need to redo all the shadows in the bathroom echh.. so noodly). Actually the last two are pretty final minus the characters that go in them.. should be all done this weekend! Enjoy!

Fish Story test keys

Not even close to finished with these but might as well prove to the world I'm working on these, I swear! First two keys from Fish Story still in greyscale and blocking out objects. Yes look at all those tangent lines in the bathroom tiles, I will be redoing those. Also I'm thinking of changing the name to Fish Schtick :P

Sunday funday sketches from 7-22

I go out and sketch with some great friends on Sundays. Here's last week's stuff at the Colorado Street bridge in Pasadena.

Honestly, if you go out to the exact spots I was standing in, you'll never see these. I take liberties with my final drawings, adding in elements that help sell the image and taking unnecessary things out. When doing visual development you tend to do the same thing, each thing you draw should be part of the story and define a clear objective. 

Emelia, you got some 'splainin to do.

Fish Story colorscript - first pass

As the title says, first pass. I'm going through and working out a little more detail to get some of the atmospheric and lighting moods in better, but this is the overall color design. Thoughts?

Fish Story

So I'm doing this little short for myself which I call Fish Story. It's about Emelia, a little girl who discovers her fish can talk, and trouble ensues. I'm doing the development work right now, which should be getting close to done, and will be posting soon. Final animation work should be done by September I hope :)

Anyways, enjoy some character passes I did for Emelia, and her fish, Herman.

As you can see, Emelia started out as a boy. I quickly changed that. tomboys are more fun.

First post quickie

Hi everyone. For all who know me, thanks for staying along, and for new people, welcome! I hope to be a little more persistent in my postings here as well talk about anything and everything related to animation work. If you have a question and want an answer, let me know.
